Nineteen years ago today (June 1, 2007), I wrote in my online LiveJournal:
"My son is 21 today. This (unlike my 50th birthday almost 2 months ago) makes me feel old."
Nope. Today he is 40. THAT makes me feel old.
I can't believe I've never posted the photo above in this blog. It's my favorite from Eric's first year. It was taken on December 1, 1986, when he was six months old. His father preferred to use only slide film, so every two months during his first year, I shot an entire roll of Kodacolor film just so I'd have some prints to send to my parents, siblings, grandmothers, and aunts and uncles.
And yes, he had no hair for most of his first year. Neither did his mother in her first year.
That is precious, Amanda! Look at those "baby blues." What a treasure!
