ABT and UNK are abbreviations commonly used in family trees, for "about" (when you're not sure of a date) and "unknown" (when you don't know a name or location). I've maintained a Personal Ancestral File (PAF - free!) family tree for at least ten years, and recently purchased an Ancestry.com membership, mostly to do research for my 81-year-old mother. I believe in preserving personal and family memories, and this blog is my attempt to share them with family and friends.
If I'm writing about someone who's also in your family tree, please contact me at chick_a_deedd at yahoo dot com. Thanks for stopping by!
