What a pretty, fashionable bride. The peaked shaped of her headdress resembles what a British bride, Edwina Ashley, wore at her July 1922 London wedding to the future Earl Mountbatten of Burma.
ReplyDeleteHow true, Yvonne! Pictures of Edwina in her wedding finery are here. Interestingly, Martha wasn't copying her, though - as Martha married 14 months earlier. (Thank you for commenting; it reminded me that I forgot to put Martha's name and wedding date in the caption!)
