What was your favorite childhood toy? Is it still being made in some form today?
Don't know that I had a favorite. Looks like I played with a lot of stuff (not all toys) in my first six years:
1958 - teething ring tub toy |
1957 - TV antenna |
1962 - doll |
1960 - rocking horse |
1957 - Teddy bear |
1960 - Play-Doh |
1962 - doctor kit |
1958 - Coke bottles |

The cocaa cola bottles reminded me of when I would open up the bottom kitchen drawer which held the pie and cake tins ---- a veritable treasure trove of toys for toddlers. Thanks for the pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting, Joan! I noticed my offspring preferred to play with stuff in the cabinets and boxes that things came in, too. Here's a link to toys from the 1960s.
ReplyDeleteLove the Photos! They are wonderful. It pays to bet the oldest. Parents always take great pictures of the first born. LOL. Not so many of the last.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about that, Tracy! If I hadn't gotten a camera, I'm not sure there would be any pictures of my youngest sister!
