New (additional) blog

I haven't decided quite where I want to go with this, hence the title. ABT and UNK are abbreviations commonly used in family trees, for "about" (when you're not sure of a date) and "unknown" (when you're don't know a name or location). I've maintained a Personal Ancestral File (PAF - free!) family tree for at least ten years, and recently purchased an Ancestry.com membership, mostly to do research for my 81-year-old mother. I've also been following my friend and fellow librarian Amy's genealogy blog, We Tree. While I don't consider myself to be a geneablogger like Amy is, I do believe in preserving personal and family memories. I really liked their idea of an Advent Calendar of Christmas Memories and have decided to try to do that here, as it didn't really fit in my book blog or my work-related blog. Look for the first post hopefully later today.

We'll see what happens after that. I'll make this blog pretty later too.

  1. Hello!

You’ve got a great genealogy blog and I’ve added it to the blog list at GeneaBloggers.

In addition, I’ve made sure your blog is listed in our search engine (http://www.geneabloggers.com/search-geneablogger-member-blogs/) so that it may be searched along with over 750 other genealogy blogs.

Finally, I will also highlight your blog in my weekly This Week’s New Genealogy Blogs post on Saturday, December 5, 2009.

Is there anything you need from us in terms of tech assistance or other advice? Check out the GeneaBloggers Welcome Wagon for lots of info: http://www.geneabloggers.com/about/. And if you need technical help, I run a tech blog for bloggers: http://fbbootcamp.blogspot.com

  2. Looks like Thomas found you. You're officially a GeneaBlogger now, Amanda. :)
