This photo was taken on the driveway of our family home at 8015 Sharpview in Houston, Texas, sometime during or before October 1966. From the top, left to right, Frederick Henry Pape (1929-2017) holding Mary, me, Brian, and Mark.

Sentimental Sunday: Happy Father's Day, Dad!
This is a special Father's Day. A week ago, Dad went to the emergency room at the hospital because he was short of breath, and thought he might have pneumonia again. Turns out he had heart block, and a pacemaker was put in the next day. Dad's in really good shape for age 83, and he got to go home the day after that.
Photos above are of me and my dad, Frederick Henry Pape, 1958.

Sentimental Sunday: Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Me and my father, Frederick Henry Pape. The photo on the left was taken sometime between April and September, 1957, probably in Houston based on the palm tree in the background. The photo on the right was taken in Chicago or Evanston in the winter of 1957-1958.

Sentimental Sunday: Happy Father's Day, Dad! (Fred Pape)
These photos were taken sometime between April 4, 1957 (when I was born - yup, the nekkid baby is me) and the end of September 1957, the date stamped on the prints that indicates when they were processed. My parents were living in Chicago, Illinois, then, but I think these pictures might have been taken on a visit to Houston - note the palm tree in the background. I'm guessing summer - maybe even Father's Day. Dad was 28 then and he is 81 now. Notice all the diapers hanging on the clothesline!© Amanda Pape - 2010
