My Uncle Bob, Paul Robert Pape Jr. (1926-2008), with nieces Marianne ("Mare") and Rosemary ("Rho") Streff at the front steps of the home of my grandparents, Paul Robert Pape (1896-1970) and Elizabeth Florence Massmann Pape (1902-2000), at 2093 West Lunt Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. The photo above was cropped out of a Kodachrome slide I found in the study of my late father, Frederick Henry Pape (1929-2017). Dad took the photo when he was home on leave from the Air Force, enroute from Korea to Ellington Air Force Base in Houston, Texas. Bob was also on leave from the Navy and service in Korea.
